1. Woke up on Lee and Sam's couch with hangover. Drove home. Vomited.

2. Forswore whiskey. Not all alcohol, just whiskey.

3. Dad, Sheila, Jessica, Christopher, Halie, and Cooper came over and hung out.

4. Susan, the kids, and I went over to Susan's parents' house for dinner.

5. Almost went to see the move "The Hangover," but didn't want to have flashbacks to this morning. Went to bed early instead.

Note: Best quote of the bachelor party, "If Sir Mix-a-Lot was a card, he would totally win." (was said during a drinking game of Apples to Apples)

  1. I just wrote 4-5 pages on identity theory about the prospective role conflicts experienced by my hypothetical man who held the identities "John-the-father" and "John-the-drinking-buddy." I think we know which identity is a higher priority for our real life John-the-father... Just kidding! Actually I even used the specific example of a Bachelor party to discuss identity salience: that in certain situations an identity, even a highly valued one, may hold no salience, such as the father identity when at a Bachelor party and having no immediate responsibilities towards one's children.

PS I love Apples to Apples.

  3. "The Hangover" is really funny. If you get a /another/ chance to see it, I recommend it.

  5. @Patrick: I totally want to read that, please send it to me. :)

@Rory: I've heard good things about The Hangover, but I totally passed out at 8:45.

@Kapil: Only whiskey because I think it's a resolution I can keep. I can't forswear all alcohol (especially since I brew my own mead), but I don't really like whiskey anyway. :)
